DrawTogether
iPad-first drawing, made for families

Create together. Safely.

DrawTogether is a parent-controlled canvas where kids doodle solo or draw live with parent-approved friends — no child accounts, no stranger discovery and no free-text chat.

One canvas. Endless ideas.

Everything creative play needs.

Powerful drawing tools, live shared rooms and thoughtful safeguards make it easy for kids to create side by side — with parents in control.

Live drawing rooms

Two approved children draw on one canvas together — strokes, colours and cursors sync in real time. Invite a friend to draw, then reopen the room right where you left off.

Real drawing tools

Pencil, fine-liner, marker, crayon and eraser on a smooth canvas with Apple Pencil pressure and tilt, pinch-to-zoom and pan.

Playful colour system

A bright palette, custom picker, eyedropper and rainbow mode — plus undo, redo, clear and brush sizes.

Tap-only chat

Curated preset phrases and emoji reactions only. No free text ever — and parents can review the full chat history.

Private family gallery

Finished artwork saves to a private family gallery kids can revisit and keep editing — and share as a PNG.

Approved friends & siblings

Kids only see friends both parents approved via a 6-digit code or QR — or siblings you connect in your own household. No discovery, no strangers.

See what’s inside

Built for iPad, made to delight.

Every screen is designed to get kids drawing quickly, collaborating naturally and smiling at the result — while parents stay in control.

For parents

You hold the keys.

DrawTogether is built around parent control. You create the account, set the rules and approve every connection — so kids get creative freedom inside a space you trust.

🔑

Parent-only accounts

You sign in with email and a 4-digit PIN. Children never have accounts or passwords.

🧒

Minimal child profiles

Just a nickname, age group, avatar and favourite colour — no surnames, photos or birth dates.

🤝

Friends & siblings

Cross-household invites need both parents to approve. Connect your own children as siblings instantly. Pause, block or remove anytime.

Play hours & toggles

Set timezone-aware play hours for collaborative rooms and per-friend collaboration toggles — enforced on our servers. Solo drawing stays available anytime.

Safety & moderation

Safe from the first stroke.

Kids can always ask for help, and parents can see what happened. Room access, blocks and play hours are enforced on our servers — not just hidden in the app.

🛟

Tell a grown-up

One tap sends a report with a preset reason and a snapshot of the canvas — the other child is never publicly named.

🔎

Parents review reports & chat

See the artwork in question, review preset chat history, and mark each report reviewed or closed.

🔔

Optional parent alerts

Opt in to push notifications for safety reports and drawing invites so you know when something needs attention.

🛡️

Server-side enforcement

Approvals, blocks and play hours are checked on our servers before anyone can join a room.

🗒️

Activity log

Safety-relevant actions are recorded so parents can see what happened and when.

🧹

Delete anytime

Remove a child’s data, or delete the whole account and every household record.

How it works

Set up once. Create for years.

1

Set up in minutes

Create your parent account, choose a PIN and add a profile for each child.

2

Approve their friends

Share a 6-digit code or QR — both parents confirm before kids can connect. Or link siblings in your household instantly.

3

Create together

Kids draw solo anytime, or jump into a live room with the friends you trust — within the play hours you set.

Questions

Before everyone starts doodling.

The essentials for families — devices, safety, accounts and pricing.

DrawTogether is an iPad-only app and requires iPadOS 16.4 or later. That covers many older iPads that can still update to 16.4 — for example iPad (5th generation, 2017) and later, iPad Air (3rd generation) and later, iPad mini (5th generation) and later, and all iPad Pro models that support iPadOS 16. Devices stuck on iPadOS 15 or earlier (such as iPad Air 2 or iPad mini 4) cannot install the app. Apple Pencil pressure and tilt work when the Pencil and iPad support them; finger drawing works on every supported device.
No. Only parents create accounts. Each child uses a lightweight profile — a nickname, age group, avatar and favourite colour — under a parent account. There are no child logins, emails or passwords.
There is no free-text chat. Kids communicate only through curated preset phrases and emoji reactions, and parents can review the full preset chat history.
Only through parent-approved invites. Families share a 6-digit code or QR, and both parents must approve before children can draw together. You can also connect siblings in your own household instantly. Connections can be paused, blocked or removed anytime.
Everything sits behind a private PIN: creating and managing child profiles, approving or pausing friends, connecting siblings, setting play hours, toggling collaboration per connection, reviewing safety reports and chat history, and deleting data.
DrawTogether is free on the App Store — no subscription required. Optional parent push notifications for safety reports and drawing invites can be enabled in settings.
Yes. Parents can delete an individual child’s data, or delete the whole account — which removes all household data. See the privacy policy for details.
