TaskNest (“we”, “the app”) is a family organization product published by HYPR App Dev. Adults hold accounts; children and other household members use profiles created by an adult and never create independent accounts. We collect the minimum data needed to run your household.
Who this policy covers
- Adults / account holders — who register households, create profiles, assign tasks, approve completions and manage settings.
- Household members & children — profile users who view and complete assigned tasks. We minimise member data by design.
Information we collect
Account holder
- Email address and authentication credentials (email one-time passcode via our provider, Supabase Auth)
- Display name and household details (household name, timezone, solo vs family mode)
- Parent PIN (stored only as a one-way hash; we never store the raw PIN)
- Optional push notification device tokens (only if you opt in)
- Paired display and device session labels for security
- Content you create: chores, tasks, events, meal plans, custom lists and rewards
Household member & child profiles (minimal)
- Name or nickname, avatar and profile colour
- Task assignments, completions, approval status and points / stars earned
- No child email addresses, phone numbers, exact birth dates or school names
TaskMate AI content
- Text, emails, PDFs or notes you choose to send to TaskMate so it can propose calendar events and meal plans
- You review and confirm every suggestion; nothing is added to your Calendar or Meal Plan without confirmation
We do not collect
- Advertising IDs or behavioural advertising profiles
- Location tracking or evidence photos (out of scope for the current product)
- Public social discovery data — there are no public social features or child messaging
How we use information
- Operate accounts, households, profiles and parent PIN protection
- Show the shared home dashboard, calendars, chores, meals and lists
- Award points / stars and manage parent-defined rewards
- Deliver realtime updates across the display and mobile companion
- Provide optional push notifications you opt in to
- Turn content you send to TaskMate into structured suggestions you confirm
Sharing
We use infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf, notably Supabase (authentication, database, storage, realtime and edge functions), and an AI model provider that processes the content you send to TaskMate to generate suggestions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising SDKs.
Storage and security
- Household data is access-controlled by household membership.
- Sensitive actions are authorised server-side and parent controls are PIN-gated.
- Transport uses HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
- Account holders can delete member profiles and associated data from settings.
- Deleting your account removes household membership and related member data as implemented in our deletion flows.
- Push tokens are removed when you turn notifications off.
Children’s privacy
TaskNest is designed around parental control and data minimisation consistent with COPPA / GDPR principles: children do not create accounts, parent controls are PIN-protected, and there is no advertising or public social interaction on child screens.
Your choices
- Manage members, assignments, rewards and approvals in settings (PIN-gated where sensitive)
- Opt in or out of push notifications
- Request deletion of member data or your whole account
- Sign out of account sessions and unpair displays
